About Mad Cow Comedy
Mad Cow Comedy brings English-language stand-up to Utrecht, with international comedians, intimate solo shows, and workshops. Hosted by Rachel Morton-Young, our Sunday shows at Kartoffel on the Oudegracht offer a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, a fresh line-up every time, and plenty of laughs for newcomers and regulars alike.

International Comedy Showcase
Kick off the year with laughs at our first Sunday afternoon showcase! Expect sharp, clever comedy from UK legend Adam Bloom, globe-trotting crowd-pleaser Nik Coppin, the surprisingly sharp Frank Buytendijk, and the witty, energetic newcomer Alice Raffegeau.
The show takes place at Kartoffel on the Oudegracht.
Nira Tal: Nearly Tall
In her first full hour, Nira Tal offers an unfiltered look at the world from just 1.5 meters tall, while living in the Netherlands, the country with the tallest people in the world. She may be short, but she refuses to feel small, even when people literally talk down to her.

Greg Shapiro Saves the Climate
Greg Shapiro – the American Netherlander – says “don’t listen to the sceptics.” Just in the tiny Netherlands, the green future is already here. Solar-powered cars, wind-powered trains, garbage-powered trucks – and homes heated by cow poop (warning: contents are not vegan).
