Friday 12th June, 8.30pm The Shed, Utrecht
In 2026, on the 4th of July, the USA celebrates 250 years of independence – by bringing back the King. With Donald Trump in power, it feels like it’s been 250 years. ‘What a perfect time for another American Revolution,’ says Shapiro.
Greg Shapiro is one of the originals at Boom Chicago theatre in Amsterdam. He has hosted Comedy Central News, and yes, he is known as the voice of Trump in the ‘Netherlands Second’ viral video with over 50 million views.
Our regular shows may be taking a summer break, but that doesn’t mean the comedy stops in Utrecht!
From 17 July to 15 August, the Utrecht Summer Comedy Fest brings a month of fresh comedy, new ideas, and experimental shows to the city. It’s a great chance to catch something different while we’re away from the stage. There are plenty of shows in English, including Off the Cuff (an improvised stand-up show), Back to Wonder (magic, storytelling and comedy) and Comedy on Tap! Check out the agenda for full details.

Dutch Courage
Before heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Rachel (a.k.a. the Mad Cow) will be doing one final performance of her solo show Dutch Courage at the Shed (Ledig Erf).
In this hilarious and heartfelt hour, Rachel explores the vast cultural chasm between her British roots and her adopted Dutch home. With a razor-sharp wit and a warm, engaging style, she dives into the quirks, clashes, and downright absurdities of expat life in the world’s most liberal country.
